In Legions of Steel, which is actually a game from 1992 recreated for our modern Androids, you identify choke points, guard doors, and try to keep enough troops before you get to the objective. Pretty much squad based tactics at its best. The story behind it all is that you control human troopers struggling desperately to stave off an alien (robots) invasion.
